Child Care Curriculum
New Brunswick's Early Learning and Child Care Curriculum is a guide designed to support parents and caregivers in creating stimulating and nurturing learning environments for young children. It is based on up-to-date research on how to maximize children's learning so that they can grow to their fullest potential with dignity, a sense of self-worth and a zest for living.
Children’s early years are a time for growth, wonder, and discovery. The foundation of the curriculum supports a learning environment where children are motivated to take learning into their own hands, enthusiastically pursuing knowledge about the things that interest them most.
The objective of the center is to organize and present activities in the following areas:
- Physical: Sport and Health
- Creativity: Craft, drawing, painting, etc...
- Outdoors: Sports & Games
- Social: Games and entertainment
Since we focus on the total development of the child, we count on the participation of the family, community, school and the Garderie Les p’tits coeurs Daycare Inc.

During the year we have special theme days, with activities such as crazy hair day, hat day, pajama day, color day...
We celebrate the birthday of each child in the daycare. He/she receives a mini cupcake and the whole group sings Happy Birthday . The child is also the friend of the day, a title that comes with some advantages: first in line, chooses the book or other activity, helps the educator...
We also celebrate other holidays throughout the year with special snacks, crafts and activities (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas...)
